Job Opportunity

We are currently seeking a full-time innovative Chef who is passionate about exquisite cuisine to join our dynamic team.

As part of your role, you will:

  • Support the head chef in overseeing the kitchen's daily operations and assume responsibilities in their absence.
  • Regularly review the menu and suggest new dishes using seasonal ingredients.
  • Calculate the costs for new dishes and adjustments to existing menu items.
  • Ensure that junior staff follow correct cooking methods, portion sizes, and dish presentation.
  • Maintain compliance with hygiene and occupational health and safety standards in the kitchen.
  • Verify the freshness of ingredients and adhere to the FIFO method.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is passionate about their craft and possesses the following:

  • Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
  • Ability to deliver top-notch dishes in fast-paced settings
  • Thorough understanding of sanitation and OH&S protocols
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
