abrs are looking to connect with experienced Registered Psychologists and Provisional Psychologists (5+1 pathway), who reside in the Tamworth region or are looking to relocate.

The role:

  • Work alongside a fantastic multi-disciplinary team in a role that provides a wide scope of practice across a huge variety of client cohort groups.
  • Client groups include: NDIS Mental Health referrals across all age groups including clients with schizophrenia, acquired brain injuries and Disabilities, in addition to working with children and adolescents who are in OOHC within the foster care contract, which would also include work with children in schools on Behaviour Support plans.
  • Enjoy the flexibility of working 2 days per week at home, and visiting some clients out in the community
  • Offer high-quality clinical support to local communities, including designing and implementing effective training programs, therapy sessions, and behaviour support plans, tailored to meet the specific needs of individuals and maximize their overall well-being.

Requirements:

  • Registered or Provisional Psychologists OR Mental Health Accredited Social Workers will be considered.
  • Demonstrated experience and well-developed skills in working effectively with children, young people, or adults with a range of disability and/ or complex behavioural needs behaviours
  • Demonstrated experience in OOHC/ ADHC/ NDIS or similar field or industry.
  • Demonstrated experience or ability to work in Mental Health
  • Knowledge of strengths-based practice, as well as family and person-centred approaches
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed practices
  • Ability to collaborate across all services to ensure good practice and the maximisation of opportunities to achieve positive outcomes for the clients/participants, families, and/or carers.
  • Experience with a variety of cognitive, developmental, and behavioural assessments.
  • Current NSW Drivers license, Working with Children's Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check

  • A number of probity checks are required including holding a current working with children and undertaking a National police check.
