The Position

In this opportunity, you'll play a vital role in aligning with Queensland Health's values. Your main responsibilities will be reviewing, logging, and coordinating responses to incoming requests regarding data availability and provision, ensuring adherence to data governance requirements. Effective communication and negotiation with both internal and external clients to enhance data quality and usage is crucial. Providing expert guidance to clients on data linkage, provisioning, and governance processes is central to this role. Attending meetings and representing the Statistical Analysis and Linkage Unit and/or Client Services when necessary will also be part of your tasks.

Collaborating with other SSB team members is essential for enhancing the documentation, integration, and management of data assets. Adherence to contemporary human resource practices and policies is a must, including workplace health and safety, ethical behavior, equal employment opportunity, anti-discrimination, and Queensland Health's Code of Conduct. This role demands a proactive approach to data request management and governance to ensure data is handled efficiently and compliantly to support organizational objectives.


The Ideal Candidate

To excel in this position, you must possess strong organizational skills, be adept at managing multiple complex projects simultaneously, and capable of maintaining attention to detail while meeting deadlines. Strong written and oral communication skills, interpersonal skills, and client service capabilities are essential. Negotiation skills with individuals at all organizational levels are also vital.

Experience in data governance and information privacy is required, along with the ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and various computing applications, such as word processing, Excel spreadsheets, SharePoint, PowerPoint, and email, is critical.
