_About the Role_


The primary purpose of the Election Taskforce Team Leader is to lead and co-ordinate the delivery of state and local government by-elections, commercial election operations, provision of interstate voting services and support continuous improvement in the delivery of election events.

The co-ordination will include event planning activities, including process and system preparation, the monitoring and reporting of event delivery as well as post-election review to inform recommendations for reform and improvement.

The role is a Temporary position until 31 December 2024, with the possibility of being extended.

Key knowledge, skills and essential requirements

  • Experience implementing a high risk, high profile process requiring meticulous attention to detail and adherence to strict processes and legislative requirements.
  • Experience designing simple, pragmatic processes to manage complex operations.
  • Track record in maintaining professional and consistent customer service in a regulatory environment.
  • Flexibility to work out of business hours during election periods.
  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent professional experience.

This role is based in at our Elizabeth Street, Sydney office with a hybrid work arrangement.

**The NSW Electoral Commission requires all workers to be vaccinated for COVID-19. You must have received two doses of a COVID-19 vaccination by the commencement of your engagement or prior to first attending at a NSWEC location. You must produce evidence of your vaccination status for inspection when you attend for work. You may also be required to provide evidence of booster vaccine doses, in due course, and any such arrangements will be notified to you separately.
