What you'll be doing:


This is a great opportunity to join the Clinical Governance Team at NBMLHD on a Part Time basis until 08 March 2024.

We are currently seeking to recruit a Feedback and Complaints Officer to the team, to work Monday and Tuesday 8:30 am - 5:00pm.


  • The primary purpose of this role is to manage consumer feedback and complaints, including investigation, resolution and preparation of responses.
  • The Feedback and Complaints Officer will facilitate and promote the principles of consumer focussed feedback and complaints management.
  • The role will support, facilitate and provide consumer feedback and complaints management education programs
  • An eligibility list may be created for future vacancies.

Selection criteria to be addressed:

  • Recognised qualifications in a health discipline and/or extensive equivalent work experience in consumer feedback and complaint management
  • Demonstrated high level interpersonal skills including proven ability to communicate, negotiate, resolve conflict and liaise effectively with consumers and health professionals at all levels and across disciplines
  • Highly developed knowledge and skills in complex investigation
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills including demonstrated experience in the preparation of reports, briefs, responses and other documents relevant to consumer feedback and complaints
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse data for inclusion in reports and presentations and to inform improvement opportunities
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgement, discretion and initiative and to set priorities to meet competing deadlines in a high volume, complex work environment
  • Strong patient advocacy and problem solving skills and experience
  • Proven ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
