About the role:
Our client is an ASX listed financial services organisation with a head office in Australia.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, they are seeking an experienced Operational Risk Manager to join the team and support the uplifting and management of client assurance frameworks and enhancing risk and compliance functions.
This critical role will see you deliver first line of defence for the organisation in collaboration with several business units.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively build and deliver enterprise risk assessments across the business;
- Monitor and provide insight into governance, riskrelated data, KRIs, and internal/external initiatives;
- Organise precise operational risk management reports for various stakeholders in the organisation;
- Participate in audit programs, manage incidents & breaches, support operational risk processes and reporting;
- Monitor industry and regulatory changes, evaluating company impact and promoting continuous improvement; AND
- Liaise with key stakeholders to implement positive risk culture and growth within the business.
Technical Skills & Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Finance, Governance, Risk, Legal or related field is essential;
- RG146 Compliant highly preferred;
- Membership of relevant Professional Associations highly regarded;
- Strong technical capabilities and understanding of SOPs, compliance and risk management, audit, and governance
- Solid knowledge of regulatory frameworks, incidents & breaches, controls, and compliance requirements; AND
- Excellent attention to detail, critical thinking, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
