Supply Officer (Storeperson) - Finance and Corporate Services

Department/Unit Specific Overview


The Finance Department brings a commercial perspective to business decision making and supports the Royal Women's business performance by providing the appropriate financial, procurement and business information and advice, as well as driving the organization's business risk management program.


Your contribution
This position is responsible for delivering a service that is consistent, reliable and of the highest quality across the Women's which includes but is not limited to;
- stock management, supply and distribution of pandemic PPE consumables (COVID-19)
- supply and coordination of IMPREST and Non-IMPREST stock items in conjunction with Melbourne Health Supply (MH).

Your duties will include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • To Ensure the PPE store is well stocked and clinical areas have access to sufficient stock.
  • Ordering of PPE via the state supply warehouse and Healthshare Victoria warehouse.
  • To manage the review of Imprest levels based on an analysis of past usage by department
  • Attend site visits to set up Imprest Wards
  • Manage imprest inventory management
  • To assist of any operational issues relating to scanning
  • To provide training assistance relating to scanner if required
  • Support the MH Supply Operations and Supply Team Leader as directed in matters relating to the Women's Inventory Management Services.
  • Support high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the storage areas, including the appropriate handling of broken/open items to ensure contents are clean and in good condition.
  • Assist in maintaining the security and safety of the Storeroom.
  • Play an active role in supporting the Women's sustainability practices and proactively and appropriately discard recycle and waste material.
  • Contribute effectively as a participative team member within a multidisciplinary team environment and promote effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work within and towards the department objectives.
  • Perform other duties as directed.

Desirable Criteria

  • Previous experience in a healthcare or medical environment
  • Certification, Diploma or Tertiary Education in Warehousing/Order picking/Logistics (or similar)
  • Experience with Imprest Management System and Services
  • Forklift Licence

COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement

Influenza Vaccination Requirement


In line with the Health Services Amendment (Mandatory Vaccination of Healthcare Workers) Act 2020, some health care workers are now required to have their flu vaccination to work in health care.

Evidence of vaccination is required.


As this role fits into category A or B of the departments risk ratings, applicants will be required to have been vaccinated against influenza.
