Job description:

Our client is looking to fill positions for Strategy Officers at APS5, APS6, and EL1 levels in the Service Design and Improvement Group of the Strategy and Priorities Division.


As an APS5 Strategy Officer (Labour Hire), you will provide policy advice and perform procedural, clerical, administrative, and operational tasks that contribute to the agency's objectives. You will work independently to gather and develop insights and recommendations to address complex problems within strategic projects. Additionally, you will support project plans, facilitate discussions with stakeholders, and conduct research and analyses to develop project deliverables.

Key skills required:

  • At least one year of experience in strategy development
  • Emotional intelligence in working with stakeholders
  • Experience contributing to strategic projects that deliver insightful and actionable recommendations
  • Experience working in a disability service environment (highly regarded)

As an APS6 Strategy Officer (Labour Hire), you will work under limited direction to provide detailed technical, professional, policy, and operational support and advice in relation to complex problems. You will also coordinate and assist in strategic planning, program and project management, and policy development to support the agency's objectives. You will liaise with stakeholders and present recommendations to a range of internal and external stakeholders.

Key skills required:

  • At least two years of experience in strategy development
  • Emotional intelligence in working with stakeholders
  • Experience contributing to strategic projects that deliver insightful and actionable recommendations
  • Experience working in a disability service environment (highly regarded)

As an EL1 Assistant Director Strategy (Labour Hire), you will assume responsibility for undertaking detailed or sensitive projects that may impact on the strategic or operational outcomes of the agency. You will engage in complex problem-solving and issues management, exercise sound decision-making, and produce high-level policy advice and operational support. You will actively manage key internal and external stakeholder relationships and represent the agency in negotiations across a range of forums.

Key skills required:

  • Ability to solve complex problems and lead workstreams with limited oversight from the project director
  • Project management skills
  • Delegate and supervise team members and oversee quality
  • Experience contributing to strategic projects that deliver insightful and actionable recommendations
  • Experience working in a disability service environment (highly regarded)
