Our client is an NFP that has been operating in South Australia for over 25 years and is undergoing exciting change and expansion. They deliver a wide range of services, activities, and programs that support children and adults with a wide range of disabilities.

They have a rare job opportunity available for a sharp and talented
**Communications Officer** to join their Adelaide office, in a permanent full-time position.

**The Role**:
As their
**Communications Officer**, you will have an understanding of the sector and the natural ability to create strategies that will increase awareness of their brand and grow advocacy. You will be the voice within the organisation and use that to help them to shape new ideas and opportunities.

You are a proactive, results-driven individual with highly developed strategic communication skills. You love to write with the audience in mind, thrive on positively managing communications and are motivated by achieving results. You enjoy storytelling and crafting communications to engage different audiences. This position will be pivotal in achieving company goals during an exciting time of brand revitalisation and growth, so the ability to identify and understand key industry themes and challenges, drive projects forward and work with multiple stakeholders is necessary.

**The Responsibilities**:

- Source, write, schedule, and deliver engaging storytelling and content across a range of communications platforms
- Develop thoughtful, effective, and measurable communications plans for corporate and key projects
- Provide strategic communications advice to build their brand and reputation
- Monitor and analyse social media and website metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of their digital communication strategies.
- Assist in managing the development and production of a large range of communication materials (including electronic and print publications, promotional items, event collateral and online content) for
- Internal Comms:

- Fortnightly customer newsletter
- Fortnightly staff newsletter
- Weekly Head Office updates
- Ad hoc comms from the leadership community to employees
- Annual reports
- External Comms:

- From brochures to website pages to client stories and blog posts this person will be writing a lot of different materials in a lot of different tones, some serious, some needing to be written at a basic level.
- Management of social media

**About You**:

- Tertiary Qualifications in Communications, Marketing or similar.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar environment.
- Experience in aged care/disability / NFP an asset.
- Experience in planning, creating, and publishing internal & external communications strategies
- Attention to detail and excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong time management and prioritisation experience.
- A creative and innovative mindset with the ability to think outside of the box.
- A current Working with Children Check & NDIS Worker Screening or ability to obtain one.
