Wirltu Yarlu the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education unit at the University of Adelaide has an exciting new position of Manager, Indigenous Strategy and Assurance.


The Manager will operate with a considerable degree of autonomy, be responsible for the implementation of the Indigenous Strategy and Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), including monitoring, reporting and reviewing the strategy.

The manager will maintain business intelligence and analytics for informed decision making to develop and implement frameworks to support the Indigenous strategy.

The position will require a high level of collaboration and communication with various levels and areas of the University.


The Manager will be joining and exciting team working in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander education with a highly motivated team who are driving cultural change and building cultural capability within the university.

To be successful you will need:

  • Comprehensive awareness and understanding of the issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, in particular in the higher education sector.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking and high level conceptual, analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Proven capacity to develop and deliver complex multifaceted projects dependent on strong stakeholder engagement and communication strategies.
  • Previous experience in creating and/or managing Reconciliation Action Plans or whole of organisation change projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills coupled with strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain professional working relationships.
This position requires a valid Working with Children Check.
