About the Role


As the Emergency Action Plan (EAP) Coordinator, you will be responsible for creating an ongoing, evidence-based training programme related to Sunwater emergency response procedures.

You will also support and improves emergency action plans between Sunwater and the Local Disaster Management Groups.

Other responsibilities will include:

  • Face to face delivery of dam safety training throughout Sunwater's region for Dam Duty Officers, Incident Coordinators, Operators and Emergency Action Plan teams
  • Planning and scheduling 12month plan of training rollout
  • Developing and maintaining a documented emergency exercise plan for 23 referable dams with a focus on stakeholder and community preparedness
  • Providing advice on, developing and reviewing Sunwater's Emergency Action Plans (EAP's), policies and procedures to address consequential and strategic implications for emergency management arrangements
  • Developing a business orientated testing and training programme that reflects the differing needs of each dam and associated downstream community;
  • Ensuring changing risk profiles within the business are reflected in workload priorities;

About you:

Key requirements include:

  • Certificate IV in training and assessment
  • Demonstrated experience in an emergency management / operational role
  • Experience of delivering training or workshops related to emergency management.
  • Experience in facilitating and leading workshopsideally related to emergency management or risk
  • Clerical background (such as document control) desirable, not mandatory
  • Knowledge of Learning Management System or similar training mapping system desirable, not mandatory
  • Class 'C' drivers' licence
  • Excellent and proven communication and presentation/coordination skills
  • Enthusiastic and engaging training style
