We currently have a permanent full-time opportunity for an Emergency Preparedness Coordinator in our SEQ Security & Emergency Preparedness Delivery Team.

This role is primarily responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring Emergency Preparedness training and exercise programs to all areas of the business as well as to the variety of projects and programs currently changing the landscape of rail within SEQ

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Develop, implement and monitor the Emergency Preparedness Training Program for Queensland Rail, utilising realistic and contemporary rail operations scenarios to deliver compliance with relevant legislative requirements.
  • Coordinate with other Emergency Preparedness Coordinators, for the development and implementation of interface emergency preparedness training and exercising with all areas of Queensland Rail.
  • Plan and coordinate, including researching and sourcing resources and equipment for emergency preparedness training.
  • Provide input into the development and implementation of strategies, systems and processes

We are seeking interest from people who have:

  • Strong ability in the development, implementation and analysis of Emergency Preparedness training programs, including desktop and field based exercises in a Rail or similar industry.
  • High skill in negotiating with and influencing internal stakeholders in the implementation of Emergency Preparedness processes and exercises.
  • High level of knowledge of Emergency Preparedness and Emergency Response legislation and practices in a rail or similar environment.
  • Substantial skill in researching, analysing and presenting solutions and improvements to current Emergency Preparedness strategies in a timely manner with a commercial focus.
This role is based in Brisbane's CBD with some travel to various areas around our SEQ network. The starting base annual salary range is approximately $116k plus Super and overtime as required.
