You will build and manage a caseload of clients and support them to pursue their vocational goals and achieve employment outcomes using a proactive and creative person-centred approach.
- REFERRAL: Engage with other services and organisations, and with potential clients and their families and carers, to (1) promote SJGA Employment Services and (2) register new clients for NDIS and/or DES funded services.
- ASSESSMENT: Assess each client's vocational potential, skills and barriers; then identify and agree on realistic and achievable short and long term vocational goals and support needs.
- PLANNING: Develop and implement an individualised plan in collaboration with each client that maintains a high level of engagement and contact, that delivers effective interventions to address identified barriers, and that encourages participation in activities that lead to ongoing employment.

Arrange and support clients in work experience, voluntary work, informational interviews, short courses, training and work trials to explore and develop work skills and interests.
- JOB SEARCHING: Use a reverse marketing approach to engage with potential employers and secure paid work that matches skills and interests and achieves durable employment outcomes.
- TARGETS: Achieve placement targets that contribute to the service's overall performance goals, as agreed with the Team Leader.
- POST PLACEMENT SUPPORT: Directly support clients and their employers to commence and maintain employment, including by continuously assessing the risks and likely sources of job failure, and by anticipating and promptly implementing preventative action.
You will have experience working with people with a disability, have well-developed communication, interpersonal and liaison skills, and be comfortable working in a dynamic, outcomes focussed team.
