About the role:


In your role as Analyst you will pro-actively assist the Director to manage the workflow and completion of all Agency Management operations in accordance with the Bank's procedures manuals and operational guidelines.


What you'll be doing:

  • Undertake general duties performed by the Agency Management team for all FA&ST customers. This includes but is not limited to compliance reporting and monitoring, legal documentation review and negotiation, operational management and internal reporting associated with these functions
  • Proactively manage the workflow and completion of all Agency Management daily, weekly and monthly reports, operations and reconciliations in accordance with the Bank's procedures manuals, operational guidelines, approved customer credit lines and completed with mínimal error.
  • Responsible for monitoring, liaison and authorisation for all processing within the Agency Operations team including remittances, system processing and other external notifications where required.
  • Ensure that critical Checklists are being followed.
  • Verification, recording, distribution & filing of security & important documentation, as well as archiving and storage or Closed files where applicable.
  • Proactively assist with the development and implementation of Oceania Region's capability to perform other Agency Management transactions as and when opportunities present, including the Region's Escrow Agency capability.
  • Strict adherence of Australian and Japanese regulations for customer identification requirements as outlined in the Bank's Anti-Money Laundering policy for all authorities and variations to authorised signatories.
  • Identify possible areas for process improvement and engage staff to contribute to building more effective processes to eliminate the possibility of errors, fostering an environment where all staff can contribute & at the same time maintain morale.
  • Build and maintain good working relations and open communication lines with Customers, as well as other Department Managers/Supervisors, Accounts Officers, and external counterparties in order to provide a high level of service and professionalism.
  • Provide guidance, support and ongoing training to Agency Management and associated staff, monitor quality of work and progress, provide regular status updates to the Director
  • You are required to work additional hours when required to ensure all processing and quality of service is maintained.
  • As a staff member of GCIB, you may be required to cross train or relieve additional functions to support other teams/departments from time to time, when required by the Director. Should this situation arise you are required to comply with the relevant legislation and procedures pertaining to the area.
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Managing Director, AIBD or Director, Agency Management.

What we are looking for:

  • Undergraduate Business / Commerce / Law Degree from a leading university is essential
  • Proficiency in the full suite of core Microsoft products, and will be strong in financial modelling
  • Possess an understanding of financial and economic markets
  • Relevant experience in facility agent and/or credit analysis, in particular in the project finance space
  • The ability to communicate clearly both in writing and verbally
  • Has strong interpersonal and presentations skills
  • Is a team player
  • Is a selfstarter who applies initiative and has drive and enthusiasm
  • Has an analytical mindset and problem solving skills
  • Has the ability to work independently and prioritise a number of tasks across various work streams and alongside a number of stakeholders
