  • Demonstrated ability and experience in developing, implementing, monitoring, and reviewing processes that ensure delivery of high-quality administrative services in a school environment.
  • Demonstrated outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills that will enable provision of high-quality administration services in line with DET and LNSC values, including strict adherence to confidentiality requirements.
  • Demonstrated high-level interpersonal skills and ability to promote the school through professional, pro-active, and harmonious interaction with all students, staff, visitors, parents, the wider community and its stakeholders including DET representatives.
  • Demonstrated exemplary organisational and time management skills including the ability to meet deadlines and display initiative, creativity, and flexibility.
  • High level knowledge and experience in the use of, and leading others in use of, DET management systems such as CASES21, EduPay, Microsoft Office, G Suite and Compass in order to support proactive administrative services at LNSC.
  • A commitment to identification and provision of professional learning and growth for self and others.
  • High level awareness of LNSC and DET vision and values and commitment to these values informing all relationships and actions.

Role:


This role oversees the efficient running of education support services across the College, including daily organization and front of house presence, ensuring values-driven public relations and customer service to the learning community of LNSC.

This position provides supporting advice to the Executive Team, including Principal Class and Business Manager.


This position also undertakes the role of Daily Organiser, proactively managing staff absences within budget, executing daily administrative tasks with precision, facilitating clear communication of duties to emergency staff, maintenance of real-time data updates, and responding promptly and effectively to last-minute emergency staffing requirements.


A position at this level performs and or manages activities that are carried out in accordance with relevant guidelines, accepted practice, Dimensions of Work - Education Support Class and school policies.

The hours of work for this position will be 7.00am to 3.00pm

Responsibilities:

Typical duties include but are not limited to:
Office Management

  • Supervise Education Support staff to achieve team objectives.
  • Prioritise and delegate processes and procedures in daily operations,
  • Oversee maintenance of up to date and accurate information supporting the college to serve the learning community.
  • Access information from CASES21 and other platforms to produce reports including achievement data
  • Access NAPLAN results for parents as required
  • Administer staff leave and other responsibilities in EduPay
  • Update and maintain Compass information in a timely manner
  • Provide backup first aid as required.
  • Demonstrate a high level of confidentiality, respect and discretion.
  • Promote a collaborative, safe and healthy teamorientated environment.
  • Undertake and coordinate relevant staff development and training.
  • Responsibility of maintaining value driven and positive school culture with the Education Support team
Daily Organisation Duities

  • Proactively manage staff absences: Receive notifications, record details, and swiftly arrange for suitable replacements using a combination of Casual Relief Teachers and by changing the timetabled duties of staff.
  • Optimise Staffing Decisions: Balance the Casual Relief Teachers (CRTs) budget with operational needs, making strategic decisions that maintain educational continuity while considering costs and potential disruptions.
  • Execute daily administrative tasks with precision: Complete the Daily Organisation record sheet, ensuring accurate recording of budget line charges.
  • Facilitate clear communication of duties: Prepare comprehensive teacher classroom duty sheets daily, providing CRTs with clear instructions for their responsibilities, including yard duties.
  • Maintain realtime data updates: Ensure all relevant details of staff on leave, replacements, and duties are updated on Compass each day by 8am.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to lastminute requirements: Demonstrate flexibility and quick decisionmaking skills to ensure the school's operations always continue smoothly.
Reception

  • Supervise and provide routine administrative support responsibilities including general telephone, front office enquiries, assisting with receiving and initial processing of standard paperwork.
