How will I help?

An exciting opportunity is available for a Senior Data Problem Analyst with specialisation in data risk to join our Data Issues and Problems Management Team. The team is responsible for leading data issues and problem management as well as remediation of data issues and problems across the Consumer Division.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • This role will undertake root cause analysis, impact assessment, implementation and on-going oversight of process and system changes required to ensure strong data quality in which the Division is dependent on.
  • The Data Problem Analyst will be responsible for supporting the resolution of data issues and problems within the division.
  • To deliver the uplift required within the committed timeframes that have already been set
  • Efficiently data analysis to look for consistencies and recurring themes
  • Effectively assess the impact of solutions on stakeholders
  • Maintain a high level of Root Cause Analysis, Business Requirements and High-Level Requirement documentation

What do I need?

To be successful in this role, you need to have the following skills:

  • 4-5 years working as a Data/Senior analysis, experience with root cause analysis and documenting high level requirements & business requirements
  • Experience interpreting and implementing solutions that are aligned with the different project delivery methods (Agile and Waterfall)
  • Data analysis and experience working with Technology teams and system owners
  • A strong understanding of technology and business systems both strategically and operationally
  • Strong understanding of risk management practises with regards to data risk
  • SQL, SAS and VBA skills highly desirable
  • Experience with reporting tools such as Tableau or Microsoft Power BI would be beneficial
  • Knowledge of project management disciplines and financial services
