Job Title: Senior Data Analyst

At Rest, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst to join our Investment Data team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and usability of our investment data.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and validate investment data, overseeing investment databases and systems.
  • Assist in ensuring that data sets are sourced, governed, mapped, ingested, and transformed to feed reports and dashboards utilized by the Investments team.
  • Understand and describe data definitions, lineage, provenance, and data quality of critical data for the Rest Investments team.
  • Develop and improve the Investment Data Platform, ensuring the availability and trust in private markets and whole-of-fund data.
  • Design and manage the implementation of technical specifications for data ingestion and conformance patterns to optimize persistence for reporting and analytical data sets.
  • Design and manage interface agreements for internal and external investment systems, including defining data controls to ensure quality and supportability of the integration.
  • Support best practice business process optimization for Data operations, consistently evolving business processes with technology and analytical tools.
  • Collaborate with Investment teams and key stakeholders to design and produce data required to support analysis for Rest Investment business and project requests.
  • Adhere to Rest delivery methodology and governance framework to ensure required artefacts are created and maintained, and that the required decision-making and escalation processes are adhered to, to help achieve the required outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Relevant tertiary degree and/or diploma.
  • Demonstrated experience in data analysis in a data management or investment analytics function.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to drive outcomes for data quality initiatives.
  • Experience with data platform environments (AWS, Snowflake, Azure) and data integration technologies.
  • Exposure to BI and analysis technologies, PowerBI/Tableau, Python, R, Excel.
  • Proficiency in SQL programming.
  • Experience working in Investment Management organizations, ideally with experience in dealing with front, middle, and back-office functions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage meaningfully with key stakeholders in the Front Office & Investment Analytics teams.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Eager to use your expertise to help make a positive difference to every Rest member's financial future.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills that demonstrate a proven record of success in resolving complex issues.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with Private Market and/or Responsible Investment data assets and relevant data management frameworks.
