Job DescriptionWe currently have an unprecedented opportunity for a dynamic sales professional to join Minor Hotels a National Sales Manager.
This position is based in our Commercial Office in the Sydney CBD.This newly established position will be responsible for managing a portfolio of entertainment, sports and MICE accounts.
Focusing on fostering new business development, this position will spearhead innovative strategies within the entertainment, sports and MICE sectors for our properties across Australia and New Zealand.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Actively seek out new business opportunities that will contribute to increased account production for entertainment, sports and MICE across Minor Hotels properties within Australia & New ZealandStrengthen engagementwith existing entertainment, sports and MICE partnersSourcing, negotiating, and converting corporate and group contracts to achieve sales and revenue targets, drivingoverall business growthImplementing strategies to drive occupancy and maximise revenue across Minor Hotels properties within Australia and New ZealandWork with the Director-Entertainment & Sports in the development and implementation of business plans and new strategies with the intent to grow this niche market segmentAssist with the development of advertising collateral, working directly with the Marketing DepartmentWhere directed, maintain and increase allocated Entertainment & Sport accounts for all ANZ properties with a focus on need propertiesUndertake telemarketing, sales and marketing duties, public relations, as and when required, and maintain an active databaseAttending trade shows and industry functions as directed by Director Entertainment & Sport and ensure a high profile for each property.
To be successful in this role you willrequire the following skills, experience and qualifications:3-5 years' of hands on experience in a sales/ business development role within a Hotel environment

while working with a Travel Management Company (TMC)Proven track record of success in increasing sales and fostering business growthExceptional communication skills, demonstrated by the ability to cultivate strong professional relationships with both internal teams and external stakeholdersSuperior attention to detail, coupled with effective time management skills to prioritise tasks efficientlyStrong problem solving abilities to tackle challenges creatively and effectivelyA professional demeanour, coupled with a strong work ethic and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a dynamic team environmentFlexibility to travel domestically when requiredAdditional Information
