About the role:


We are looking for an exceptional person to take the position of
Account Executive on our growing sales team and help Brightcove achieve breakout growth primarily for SMB clientele in Australia and New Zealand.

This person must have a proven track record for delivering on or exceeding revenue goals and take pride in getting it done.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a territory plan focused on revenue generation.
  • Build a metricsdriven sales pipeline of new accounts.
  • Manage the sales process through the team from initial contact with a prospect, to negotiating and closing contracts.
  • Become a domain and industry expert especially in the SMB space for ANZ.
  • Close deals
  • Partner with sales leadership and marketing in ANZ to jointly build a gotomarket strategy for your industry.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • 3+ years direct sales experience in a SaaS environment, preferably selling into Martech, advertising & media technology, and SMB clientele.
  • A proven track record delivering on or exceeding revenue goals and quotas.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, manage, and carry through complex deals to closure.
  • Demonstrated ability to qualify opportunities in large volumes and interact with other team members to work toward closing deals.
  • An ability to assess and uncover client needs and pain points effectively and provide solutions through new products and services.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in a fastpaced, entrepreneurial startup in which crossfunctional teamwork and initiative is a must.
  • Possess excellent communication skills to customize communication to the customer's needs with confidence; effectively delivers "memorable" presentations leveraging storytelling skills.
  • Demonstrate excellent networking skills to identify the right customer stakeholders and build connections quickly to drive consensus for deals; drive communications with internal crossfunctional teams for deal success.
  • BA/BS in Business, Marketing or related field.
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM is highly preferred.

  • English fluency is required.
  • This is a quotacarrying role.
  • This role will involve travel when things start returning to normal, to meet potential prospects, partners and customers.
  • You must possess the right to live and work in Australia, there is no relocation possible.
