Principal Human Resources Operations

We are currently assisting Seqwater in sourcing a Principal Human Resources Operations position. Reporting to the Manager of People Experience, this is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact within a rapidly growing Government Owned Corporation. In this critical role, you will oversee key HR functions including talent acquisition, HR advisory, HR information systems, workforce analytics, job evaluations, remuneration and benefits, governance, and policy development. You will lead and mentor a team of six, driving complex, enterprise-wide HR improvement projects. This role is ideal for a dynamic HR professional with strong remuneration experience, looking to assist in shaping the future of strategic and operational HR matters in a complex and changing organizational environment.

About the Role
  • Enhance people leadership capabilities by delivery high quality Tier 1 HR advisor services and implementing modern HR tools, resources and technology optimizations;
  • Manage the human resource information system to ensure effective workforce management, data quality and integrity and legislative / regulatory compliance;
  • Lead strategic and operational remuneration and reward approaches including the management of the annual remuneration review process and job evaluation services;
  • Improve business performance and leader effectiveness through the provision of workforce data, and insights to enable evidence-based workforce decision – making and people strategy development;
  • Effectively manage employee life cycle from entry through to exit including pre- boarding, on-boarding and cessation management;
  • Manage the development, implementation and governance of People and Culture documentation including but not limited to, policies, frameworks, procedures and guidelines; and
  • Lead strategic and operational projects that drive improvement in HR service delivery and people management practices across the organization.
About You
  • Degree level qualification in Human Resource Management or similar. Post graduate qualifications in business, psychology or other human resource related areas would be an advantage;
  • Experience effectively leading a HR operations function within a complex environment demonstrating application of contemporary and business aligned approaches;
  • Demonstrated experience in managing HR systems and in the utilization of workforce data and analytics to improve business performance;
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead complex enterprise-wide HR improvement projects ensuring quality, budget and timeframes are achieved;
  • Ability to effectively engage and influence internal and external stakeholders to achieve change;
  • Demonstrated ability to develop high quality HR governance including HR policy, procedures and practices that are effective and efficient and support the business to achieve its objectives;
  • Significant experience coaching and partnering with senior leaders on strategic and operational HR matters in a complex and changing organizational environment; and
  • Experience in the development and execution of HR strategy and initiatives that are commercially focused and pragmatic to deliver improved business performance and outcomes.
