Our team works within the principals of the Person-Centred Active support model, as this model best fits Jake's life and lifestyle.

Key selection criteria to succeed in this role:

  • Prior experience working in a residential home environment essential
  • Demonstrated ability:
  • In the delivery of positive behaviour support and implementation of behaviour support plans and strategies
- working with clients with an intellectual disability who have complex behaviours and medical requirements
- to work within a 2:1 team framework and with our client's extended care team
- recognition and implementation of full person centred active support for continued learning and development assisting him to achieve his NDIS goals of independence and ADL skill development

  • Maintaining daily recording records and data collection records on computer
  • Relevant Autism experience minimum 2 years' experience required
  • Excellent working knowledge of the Disability Act 2006 (Vic)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills clear concise English
