About the role


The People and Culture area brings together both the staff and volunteer members encompassing human resources, welfare and development, overseeing programs that encourage excellence, leadership, diversity, inclusion and pathway development.

We are looking for an energetic, resilient and experienced HR Business Partner to support, coach and guide our people practices.


Key Responsibilities include

  • Providing industrial/employee relations advice and support whilst ensuring relevant legislation, agreements and policies are complied with;
  • Conducting workplace investigations and providing recommendations/assistance as required;
  • Consulting with managers and providing daily HR guidance;
  • Working closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, improve wellbeing, build morale and increase productivity and retention;
  • Managing Volunteer and Student recruitment and onboarding processes.

About you


As a people focused HR generalist, you will provide advice and guidance on all people related matters including recruitment, onboarding, oversee the full employee lifecycle administration and contractual requirements, coaching, performance management, engagement, culture, growth and development, and also be actively involved with the continuous improvement of our policies, processes, systems and offerings.


You will utilise your excellent communication skills to collaborate with and influence key stakeholders, and coach and support leaders to build organisational capability.

Your operational and strategic HR experience will be central to providing specialist advice, workforce planning, promoting change and delivering projects in line with business objectives.

To be successful in this role, you will meet the following criteria:

Essential:

  • Degree qualified in Human Resources or equivalent;
  • Minimum of 5 years' previous experience in a HR generalist role;
  • Relevant HR Business Partnering experience with demonstrated capability to interact with Managers and Leaders across multiple sites;
  • Experience in employee relations and complex case management, including disciplinary processes, investigations and grievance resolution;
  • Working knowledge of the Fair Work Act and Return to Work Act;
  • A drivers' license as movement between sites will be necessary.

What you'll need to succeed:


To be successful in this role you will have strong experience as a HR Business Partner, demonstrated ER/IR experience and be able to partner with stakeholders at all levels.

Experience in Enterprise Bargaining Negotiations would be highly regarded.

Flexibility and willingness to travel between our Tonsley and Elizabeth offices when required.

This position is offered on a full-time basis (part-time.8 FTE could be considered for the right applicant).
