With our recently released Homes for Queenslandersplan, we are full steam ahead implementing a range of exciting initiatives which will support Queenslanders and their housing needs now and into the future.

The General Manager, Social Housing Delivery Office responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
The development and execution of innovative social and affordable housing solutions
Collaboration with various government stakeholders for development approvals

The delivery of diverse housing options, including those for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, and supporting strategic government priorities while engaging with stakeholders across sectors.

Ultimately, ensuring the upkeep of Queensland's social housing portfolio.
About The Department of Housing, Local Government, Planning and Public Works

As a valued employee in the Department of Housing, Local Government, Planning and Public Works you will be part of a talented, experienced, and dedicated team delivering a range of services that make a real difference to the lives of Queenslanders.

Your work will contribute to enabling every Queenslander to have access to a safe, secure, suitable and affordable home so that everyone has the opportunity to fully participate socially and economically.

Your role will support the department to provide housing assistance and homelessness support services through direct service delivery and arrangements with funded service providers.

You will work in an organisation that is focussed on reframing the department's relationship with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, communities, and organisations through the Path to Treaty, Closing the Gap and building our cultural capability.


The essential requirements for this role are:

A proven track record of exceptional leadership within large and intricate organisations, in government, the private sector, or the not-for-profit sector.

Extensive experience in leading the implementation of programs and initiatives to bolster housing supply or other infrastructure in alignment with governmental strategic policies.

Adept management of intricate stakeholder relationships, strategic planning, policy implementation, and service delivery.
A professional who operates with a solution-focused approach, as well as collaboration, influence, and empathy.
