Bushcare Services is seeking an experienced and highly motivated General Manager to lead our

the business to be streamlined and well planned. This includes managing key staff, controlling costs,

and overseeing the planning process for projects. The General Manager will have a track record of

success in leading a management team, strong financial acumen, and an appreciation of the

restoration industry.

The General Manager will report to the business owners.

About Bushcare Services
We are a long-established environmental organisation that oversees the delivery of niche field based

projects. Our deliverables are to rehabilitate Natural Areas, improve the experience of park

stakeholders and oversee the functional development of parks infrastructure.

Our business approach is 'hands on', innovative and outcomes based.

We operate under an accredited Quality Management System that ensures compliance with

professional standards with our administration, safety and environmental systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire the Bushcare Services management team to align with our strategic direction.
  • Ensure that our projects are delivered to the highest quality, within budget and on time.
  • Oversee daily operational procedures, to ensure efficiency, a streamlined processes, sufficient
resourcing, and planning for future capacity.

  • Collaborate with our operational divisions to help plan, implement contracts and resource work
commitments.

  • Managing the financial sustainability of the business. This will include reviewing annual budgets,
control costs, and ensure that the company is profitable.

  • Develop and maintain high level relationships with customers and business stakeholders.
  • Work within the framework of our business and operational plans to manage policy and further
streamline system workflows.

Other key responsibilities for

  • Workplace Health and Safety business representative. Ensure that the company is compliant
with all safety regulations and that the business enhances our commitment to our safety

management system. This will involve the ongoing high-level assessment of workplace risks,

processes and analysis of performance. The role will monitor legislation changes and be at the

forefront to achieve a safe workplace culture.

  • Human Resources collaborate with our Operations Manager and Administration Manager to
plan for our recruitment needs and oversee staff onboarding processes. Facilitate a process of

staff review and keep the company compliant with Industrial relations. The HR role will

provide guidance and support to our Operations division.

Business Knowledge
A minimum of 7 years' experience in a similar commercial services business, in a management

role.

Experience (or appreciation) in the bushland rehabilitation industry, including knowledge of

equipment, methodologies, interpreting site designs and conformance criteria's.

Experience with project management and accounting software and knowledge of Microsoft

Tertiary qualifications (Batchelor or above) in business, finance, or project management.

Desirable:
Tertiary qualifications in Natural Resource Management or a related field would be

highly regarded
