About the Team

The Commercial team at Coles plays a crucial role in fostering enduring supplier relationships, crafting new product ranges, and developing efficient solutions. Whether at Coles Supermarkets or Liquor, we collaborate closely within a globally diverse, tight-knit group. Our dedication lies in pioneering merchandising and product innovation, ensuring customers access quality products affordably.

About the Role

As the Product Developer for Health, Beauty, & Baby, you'll spearhead the planning, development, and launch of top-tier Own Brand products to enrich customer experiences.

Key responsibilities include collaborating with category marketing and customer insights, ensuring Coles brands reflect quality, innovation, and choice. Your role involves:

  • Creating & executing Own Brand product strategies focusing on quality, range, efficacy, and cost.
  • Managing existing ranges to ensure consistent growth.
  • Overseeing the New Product Development process from concept to launch.
  • Integrating strategic initiatives like B2B and E-commerce into plans.
  • Establishing Health and Sustainability initiatives aligned with business strategies.
  • Managing customer approvals through sensory testing.
  • Ensuring compliance with Own Brand Product Development Process.

About You and Your Skills

In this role, your impact will depend on:

  • Exceptional stakeholder management & collaboration skills.
  • Commercial acumen and strategic thinking.
  • Experience in Product Development or Commercial roles in fast-paced retail or FMCG environments.
  • Proficiency in product development, range architecture, and insights.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, safety, and quality standards.
