About the role
The purpose of this role is to provide high level specialised epidemiological advice and technical support to Communicable Disease Control and Environmental Health teams by:

  • Leading the public health epidemiology and data management team.
  • Undertaking epidemiological functions associated with communicable disease surveillance.
  • Undertaking epidemiological investigation of communicable and non communicable disease clusters and disease patterns associated with environmental exposure as part of an Outbreak Control Team.
  • Initiating, designing, conducting and reporting on more complex public health epidemiology within communicable disease and environmental health functions, including high level analysis, interpretation and reporting of health data, and survey development and design.
  • Leading the development of a practice oriented research program and the complex health interventions and programs within to inform and improve practice in communicable disease, environmental health and epidemiology.
