Spare Parts Purchasing Officer

We are an Australian owned Engine Parts company with both national and international branches looking for a reliable Purchasing Officer to buy products from local and overseas vendors

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Creating and maintaining good relationship with key suppliers
  • Compare and evaluate potential vendors.
  • Negotiate contract terms of agreement: Payment, Delivery/Shipping & Pricing.
  • Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed to ensure optimal stock is held by each sales branch.
  • Followup orders to ensure timely delivery, minimising the need for air freight or fillin orders.
  • Maintain order and vendor details (ie: quantities, prices, delivery & contact information) into our internal database. Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses.
  • Immediate action to be taken on low stock items.
  • Monitor and work with Product Managers to move showmoving stocks

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent communication skills (solid spreadsheet and analytical skills).
  • Mechanical and/or auto parts knowledge is an advantage.
  • Ability to operate independently after consulting with Product and Branch Managers to ensure that you are identifying the desired brand & quality to be purchased at a marketcompetitive price with optimal payment & delivery terms.

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
