Our Airport Services Team is comprised of our committed team of Airport and Ground Crew. Our team are often our first point of contact for our customers.They are the face of Jetstar and are often our customer's first point of contact and play an integral role in ensuring that our customer experience the Jetstar values through the delivery of exceptional customer service.
The
Airport Duty Manager is responsible for managing the customer service team including managing performance, absenteeism, coaching and developing the team.
A significant component of this position will be the development of team members and performance management, in addition to ensuring an extremely high standard of customer service is delivered and targets are achieved.
As the Airport Duty Manager will be influential in driving the success of achieving Key Performance Indicators relating to People, Safety, Engagement, Customer Satisfaction, OTP and Financial deliverables.
The core responsibilities of this role are:
- Continuously developing and the ongoing performance management of all relevant staff.
- Demonstrated success as leader, including effective management of the team performance and absenteeism.
- Fostering an enhanced awareness with all team members for OH&S, aviation safety and security policies.
- Management of domestic operational performance.
- Consistency in achieving KPI's relating to safety, ontime performance, customer satisfaction and financial deliverables.
- Management of the airport's customer service delivery to ensure it is in line with the company's brand values, in addition to acting as a secondary escalation point where required for problem resolution and disrupt management.
- Building strong, professional relationships with our Team Leaders, ensuring day to day customer service delivery is successful.
- Ensure team member training is compliant and knowledge is retained.
- Working with the resourcing and people teams to ensure a high standard of recruitment is actioned and all team members are effectively managed through regular mentoring, conversations and reviews.
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- Significant experience in a front line leader role within an operational environment.
- Experience in leading a team of direct reports in a customer facing environment.
- Ability to work shift work.
- Previous experience working in aviation or an operational focused industry.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication approaches, including a confidence to engage, debate and facilitate stakeholder meetings.
- A proactive approach and enjoys finding solutions.
- A flexible and cando attitude, with the ability to flex between coaching others and rolling up your sleeves and implementing actions.
- A strong attention to detail as to ensure quality outcomes.
- Exposure to managing teams in a shift/rostered work environment.
