About the role:

Victoria Police is currently advertising (1) full-time ongoing; VPS-2 position within North-West Metro Region.

As the successful applicant, you will be responsible for providing a broad range of administrative support services to the Operations Support Division and Support Services Division.

Victoria Police is a contemporary and agile workplace and supports flexible working arrangements.

Your duties will include:

  • Providing administrative/secretariat support to two superintendents and other police officers within Operations Support Division/Support Services Division and Regional Headquarters as required.
  • Providing general office support duties including the operation and maintenance of office equipment;
  • Prepare routine correspondence on a range of administrative matters and attend to followup procedures as required with a high attention to detail;
  • Attend to telephone enquiries from both internal and external stakeholders.

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Experience in working with computers and various programs to perform a range of administrative tasks including records management, data entry and word processing tasks;
  • Ability to work autonomously and prioritise work with mínimal supervision;
  • A strong commitment and a demonstrated record in meeting customer needs;
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to multitask;
  • Good communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of clients both orally and in writing.

Requirements and relevant information:

  • One (1) VPS2 fulltime ongoing position available.
  • Position located at the Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Melbourne. While this position has a nominated usual place of work, the position may be required to work at other locations, in accordance with the provisions of the relevant Victorian Public Service Agreement.
