Supporting people with disabilities is about helping them to achieve their goals, develop their capabilities and build independence, and fully participate in the community.


About the Role - Must be able to provide personal care tasks and available to work 3 days a week including Saturday and Sunday.

We support children, young people and families, people with disabilities, and people with mental illness. EmpowerU Support Teams focussed on co-production, supporting people to make decisions about their life and support.

The support you provide might include:

  • Helping the person develop skills
  • for example, making a budget, taking public transport, using assistive technology, or preparing meals
  • Assisting the person to participate in social outings, recreational activities and community events
  • Providing companionship, conversation and emotional support.
  • Personal care, such as help with dressing, eating, showering, toileting, or moving around the house
  • Assisting with transport to attend appointments
  • Domestic assistance, such as house cleaning, shopping, laundry, or performing errands

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow personcentred support plans and behaviour support plans respectfully
  • Participate in community activities and encourage clients to perform daily living tasks
  • Track and maintain records of client progress
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with our clients and their families
  • Provide inhome support and domestic assistance

Skills & Experience

Must be able to provide personal care tasks and available to work 3 days a week including Saturday and Sunday.

  • An unrestricted New South Wales driver's license
  • Demonstrated ability to use basic technology and software on a mobile and desktop
  • National Criminal History Record Check
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Working with children check
