The Company

This state government department plays a crucial role in the growth of NSW and is currently involved in various projects across NSW.

Due to an increase in work volume this respected Government organization have an immediate need for a Procurement Contracts Analyst to assist in the data analysis and contract administration tasks.

This role ensures smooth contract administration, including purchase orders, accounts payable, and payment claims for the team. It also supports 'Procure to pay' services and goods/services contracts as required.

The Job
Reporting into the Senior Contracts Manager in this procurement focused role, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Assist Contracts team in daily contract administration, including updating registers and preparing info for Senior Manager
  • Ensure accurate payment of Vendor invoices, obtaining authorizations and verifying rates
  • Handle Goods Receipting, Service Entry, and payment entries in Contract Management systems
  • Communicate with contractors/suppliers for Accounts Payable issues and reconciliation
  • Coordinate Purchase Order creation, reconciliation, and new Vendor account setup if needed
  • Provide confidential information and assistance to stakeholders
  • Aid in preparing contract variation letters and supporting procurement
  • Perform administrative tasks for record keeping

To be successful in this role, you must have experience in the following areas:

  • At least 6-12 months experience in a similar Procurement/Contracts Analyst role
  • SAP experience and Intermediate Excel skills are a
    must:
  • Proficient in managing Goods Receipting, Service Entries, reconciling Vendor accounts, and processing Invoices within a high-volume setting
  • Proven experience in analysing data to produce reports
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Previous NSW Government experience will be favoured
