The Position:

The primary purpose of the
Campus Manager is to provide operational oversight and management of the campus.

The role encompasses a diverse range of functions related to student support and all other non-academic administrative matters as well as providing support as required across academic management and reporting.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • Manage the Perth Campus Student Support and Administration team, ensuring efficiency in managing student issues and a student experience that meets the expectations of SCU
  • Oversee, direct, and manage the daily operations of the Student Services and Academic Support team to ensure that all campus operations are prepared for and carried out effectively and efficiently and that the focus is on positive student experience to promote student connectivity and engagement
  • Assess, approve/reject formal student requests related to their study with accurate information in line with university policy
  • Manage campus teaching timetables to support the Program Coordinator/s and academic team
  • Ensure teaching resources are appropriately managed to meet current and future teaching requirements. These resources include (but are not necessarily limited to) classrooms, classroom equipment and teaching materials
  • Recommend, create, and update policies, procedures, and manuals for the management of the campus and students at the Perth Campus together with the Director of Student Services and in liaison with the campus managers from Sydney and Melbourne. This will also involve liaising and coordinating with key individuals at the main campus where such policies involve them
  • Working with the Director of Student Services, the other Campus managers and SCU Main Campus, identifying and solving policy and procedure problems related to the management of the campus and students
  • Provide advice, support and training to staff and students as required to ensure they are set up for success
  • Develop and implement new initiatives to enhance the student experience (e.g., but not limited to, Orientation, campus activities etc.)
  • Ensure that the campus facilities are maintained and updated as required
  • Support and manage student activities and initiatives such as Career Edge, Uni Mentors, SRC etc.
  • Monitor, manage, and review costs for campus expenditure
  • Prepare reports for the Director of Student Services and National Academic Director as needed
  • Ad hoc administration and assistance as required from time to time.

  • Direct Reports: Student Services Support Team
  • Indirect Reports: All Perth staff in relation to the operational management of the campus and delivery of student programmes.

Qualifications, technical skills, and experience required for this role include:
Knowledge and Qualifications

  • A tertiary qualification in management or extensive management experience in an education environment
  • Experience managing a wide range of operational functions
  • Experience in using learning management systems.

  • Demonstrated ability to take a clientcentred approach to negotiation and problemsolving and use initiative demonstrating experience in building and managing effective working relationships
