  • Senior Educator Level 1 ($112,471) + Superannuation
  • Based at the Melbourne CBD campus but may need to travel to Bundoora, and other campuses as required.
The Position

As Program Coordinator, Electrical & Instrumentation and Control, you will be mainly responsible for the co-ordination of the design, development, delivery and evaluation of innovative, customised, high quality vocational education and training within the Built Environment and Sustainability Industry Cluster.

Coordination of staff resources and student administration of the program/s in their areas of responsibility will also form part of this role.


You will be required to interact with other organisations, with other Schools at RMIT and in particular, interact with other teaching and administration staff.

Participate in relevant activities to ensure that vocational competence to the education level being delivered and assessed is maintained, together with promoting, encouraging and ensuring teaching staff participate in relevant activities to ensure vocational competence to the education level being delivered and assessed is maintained.


To be successful in this position, you'll have:

  • Demonstrated educational leadership skills that effectively promote teaching and learning.-
  • An understanding of the students at risk process, special consideration process and equivalent learning and assessment strategies.-
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills, presentation, facilitation and counselling skills.-
  • Demonstrated evidence in the use of effective, innovative and flexible teaching methods and teaching experience in the Built Environment cluster.-
  • Relevant skills and expertise in competency-based assessment.-
  • Relevant experience in the industry, and substantial and current discipline knowledge as it relats to this position.-
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of the vocational education and training sector and the training-
  • requirements of relevant industries related to Quality Assurance processes for TESQA and ASQA in compliance of programs

Qualifications:

  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40116)
  • Diploma of Vocational Education Training (TAE50111) or equivalent
