Your role


The Executive Officer provides day-to-day professional support and timely expert coordination and communication to the Executive Director, People, Culture and Capability and the leadership team.

This includes managing a diverse range of critical issues, services and projects relating to key strategic objectives by working with a range of stakeholders.


You will

  • Manage, coordinate and/or support on the implementation of initiatives and people projects as deemed priority by the Executive Director
  • Coordinate, prepare and review briefings, correspondence, communications and speaking points for the Executive Director's attention
  • Ensure that key tasks are coordinated and communicated to the right people across the directorate and broader People Group in a timely manner to deliver on outcomes
  • Act as the escalation point and raise issues/risks on programs or people matters with the Executive Director
  • Cascade key messages between leadership, teams and stakeholders within and outside of the directorate
  • Provide adhoc support and advice to the People Culture and Capability leadership team on a range of areas including recruitment, procurement, finance, correspondence and culture

About you
We are looking for a dynamic, collaborative, and flexible team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

You will be an integral part of a directorate's functioning and will provide support on a range of issues and complex projects.

  • natural ability to maintain strong internal networks
- an adept understanding of Department policies and procedures
- the ability to provide advice and support on a broad variety of issues.

Essential Requirements of the role

  • Tertiary qualifications or demonstrated experience in Human Resource Management, Project Management, Policy, or a relevant discipline
