Reporting to the Assistant Operations Supervisor, this position includes the following responsibilities:

  • Coordination of international containers from Port to client location
  • Complete daily, weekly & monthly container reporting
  • Coordination of producing purchase orders and invoicing
  • Ability to manage subcontractors' performance and compliance
  • Ability to investigate and resolve claims in a timely manner
  • Timely management of day to day issues
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable legislation and SCT procedures and policies are adhered to
  • Participate in risk assessments and inspections (Internally & Externally) when required
  • Participate in internal and external meetings relating to business operations
  • Ensure containers are delivered as per the SCT service standards
  • Ability to escalate issues relating to service delivery & operational performance
  • Ensure that tasks are completed to meet the customer's requirements and are conducted in a timely and safe manner
  • Maintain open lines of communication at all levels internally and externally

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Knowledge of operational planning and scheduling
  • Good understanding and experience of the Port logistics operations and systems
  • Preferred understanding of rail loading procedures
  • 23 years' experience in similar role
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills with the ability to adapt to business changes
  • Ability to communicate effectively on all levels
  • Has excellent analytical and business acumen
  • Ability to work autonomously and as a member of a small team
  • Selfmotivated and takes pride and accountability in role
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Preferred SAP experience
