About the role

Due to the continued growth of our practice, an exciting entry-level career opportunity has arisen in our Newcastle office for a full-time Legal Office Junior to join our CTP personal injury insurance team.

You will have a varied workload and some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing support to legal secretaries;
  • Preparing external mail for posting;
  • Collating letters and forms;
  • Collating briefs to Counsel;
  • General office duties such as photocopying, scanning, filing and electronic file sorting; and
  • Relief Reception duties.

You will receive one on one training and be mentored by experienced legal secretaries.

About you

You will have:

  • A desire to work towards a long term career in legal administration;
  • The ability to demonstrate initiative;
  • Enthusiasm and willingness to work in a team, or on your own;
  • Excellent organisation skills;
  • Highly developed telephone communication skills; and
  • Exceptional attention to detail skills.

Previous office based work experience and/or a TAFE certificate in Business & Administration/ Business & Legal, is highly desirable.

The role is suitable to school leavers. It is not suitable for law students balancing study commitments.
