As the
Cyber Operations Readiness Officer** you support CSC's Cyber Security services in order to protect CSC financial and information assets, working in a small collaborative and supportive team of Cyber Security Operations specialists.


With your engaging communications and presentation skills, you successfully promote Security Awareness and Education, from providing advice and recommendations, to conducting engaging presentations, creating / updating ELearning material, articles and other media.


You will have the opportunity to support Security Operations initiatives through stakeholder engagement, uplift and enhancements and produce security documentation, plans, and procedures on tooling and processes.

You perform Cyber Security operations effectively (monitoring, management, and uplift of CSC systems) and assist with Cyber Security incident response including investigations and remediation.

Desired Skills and Experience:

What you'll need to excel

  • Tertiary qualifications in Cyber Security, Computer Science or a related discipline
  • 12yrs experience in a similar role
  • Experience with security incident investigation
  • Highly developed communication skills, with the ability to present to various stakeholders promoting security awareness in an engaging way.

The following skills, knowledge and experience is considered desirable

  • Relevant industry security certifications (CEH, CISM, CISSP, GSEC etc.)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory security configuration
  • Vulnerability management & Malware security products
  • Enterprise implementation and operation of security technologies such as SIEM, Identity and Access Management, End Point Protection, DDoS Protection, Data Loss Prevention.
  • Security compliance in financial and government environments e.g. APRA 231/234 and ISM
  • Knowledge of multiple security frameworks e.g. NIST, PSPF
  • Knowledge of security practices for cloud services particularly AWS and Azure security configuration
  • Knowledge of industry good practices such as OWASP, PCI DSS, ISO27001/2, ASD E8, NIST CSF
  • Security configuration of network devices and appliances such as switches, routers, proxies, load balancers
