This well known business is a privately owned civil construction company and has established a robust presence in the construction industry since its inception in the early 2000's. With strategic offices headquartered in Brisbane and throughout Australia, they specialise in delivering services from urban renewal to remote civil projects. Recognising regional challenges, they have forged strong local supply chain relationships, offering cost-effective solutions and contributing to regional resilience. They are seeking to appoint a 2IC to their Chief Financial Officer in a newly created position.

The Role

As they continue to grow their revenues ($15m last year to $35m this year, they are forecasting growth to $50m by 2027 and $80m by 2029), they are seeking to appoint a talented Financial Accountant as the need to produce Tier One Accounts is required. As the Successful Financial Accountant, your duties may include, but not limited to:-

  • Preparation of all month-end journals for Pentacon and associated entities
  • Support the CFO with the preparation of monthly management reporting packs for the business
  • Preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations (including inter-company loan accounts).
  • Weekly cash flow forecasting
  • Maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register.
  • Preparation and lodgement of statutory compliance reporting for all entities including BAS
  • Assisting the CFO with preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Preparation of taxation schedules for annual FBT and Income Tax returns.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
