    Job description:
  • The Superannuation Consultant works as part of the Member Services team to deliver face to face services to members of the various defined benefit schemes.

    The primary role of the position is to meet with members to ascertain their specific needs and requirements as outlined in Public Sector Superannuation Regulations/legislation; to inform members about provisions relating to their defined benefit; to empower members to make prudent decisions and take appropriate actions in relation to their superannuation.


Period of Appointment:

As soon as possible for a period of up to 2 years.

Hours per fortnight:

Up to hours flexible - talk to us about how this could work for you. We are open to considering a range of flexible work options including part-time hours.

Duties:


The Superannuation Consultant works as part of the Member Services team to deliver face to face services to members of the various defined benefit schemes.

The primary role of the position is to meet with members to ascertain their specific needs and requirements as outlined in Public Sector Superannuation Regulations/legislation; to inform members about provisions relating to their defined benefit; to empower members to make prudent decisions and take appropriate actions in relation to their superannuation.

In the context of the selection criteria, to be successful in the position applicants will have:

  • an aptitude for mathematics and an intermediate level of numeracy to undertake financial analysis;
- well-developed interpersonal liaison skills and strong customer-centric focus to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders and maintain ethical/professional standards and confidentiality;
- high levels of attention to detail, excellent written communication, strong prioritisation and organisation skills; and
- an ability to understand members entitlements and to research, problem solve, and identify possible solutions.

Some intrastate travel may be required and the Superannuation Consultant is expected to hold a current valid Driver's Licence.

Desirable Requirements:

Diploma or Advanced Diploma, completion, or partial completion, of relevant tertiary qualifications.
