The Role:

We are seeking a Consultant/Specialist Obs and Gynaecology to join a dedicated team in a regional coastal location, commencing as soon as possible until the 1st of February 202- Four distinct seasons, world-renowned food and wine

You will be expected to:

  • Provide specialist care to public and private patients.
  • Be involved in research and quality improvement activities, undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.
  • Provide specialist advice to inpatient units as required.
You will be working within a progressive unit providing care to women through both Inpatient and Outpatient Servicers. Your work will be fast-paced and very rewarding.

  • Busy Regional Hospital with average of 1600 births per year.
  • Facilities include 6 room birth suites, 28 bed postnatal ward, new Women's+ Outpatient clinic.
  • Visiting Specialist Clinics in Gynaecology Oncology and Urology Gynaecology
  • Work/life balance roster with on call shared amongst team of experienced colleagues.
  • Suitable for new consultant or experienced consultant.
  • Base rate up to $310,389 per annum, pro rata + 11% superannuation + access to salary packaging_

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

  • Provision of a fully maintained private plated motor vehicle or motor vehicle allowance of $25,758 per annum, pro rata.
  • Communication allowance of $1,948 per annum, pro rata
  • Continuing Professional Development Allowance of $16,000 per annum, pro rata
  • On call allowance % base salary
  • Relocation allowance
  • All other allowances as per current Award
  • If not admitted to the PPS, a 35% in lieu of PPS of base salary will be paid.

A General Public Hospital, 300 beds, that provides acute care facilities, this is an accredited teaching hospital that has a close partnership with the University Clinical School and the School of Nursing and Midwifery.
