Essential qualifications, skills and experience
- First Aid Certificate
- Completed or working towards Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing)
- Relevant experience / on-the-job training commensurate with the requirements of work in this level
- Ability to undertake physical activities relevant to the duties mentioned above, including but not limited to lifting and bending
- Current driver's and access to a road worthy and comprehensively insured vehicle is compulsory
About the role
This role is part of CRCS's Aged Care program and involves supporting older individuals eligible under the Commonwealth Home Support Program and Home Care Package programs. The focus is to promote independence and offer assistance with Domestic Support tasks such as:
- House cleaning (vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting)
- Clothes washing and ironing
- Dishwashing
- Sweeping verandas
- Cleaning of bathrooms & toilets
- Washing of household linen
- Shopping (unaccompanied)
- Bill paying (unaccompanied)
- Meal preparation
