About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Personal Carer to join our team at Goodwin Aged Care Services. As a Personal Carer, you will play a vital role in assisting our clients with independent living within their own homes, ensuring they receive the necessary services and support to maintain a safe, independent, and high-quality life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Domestic Support: Assist clients with daily living tasks, such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
  • Personal Care: Provide personal care services, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Transport: Safely transport clients to appointments and outings.
  • Shopping: Accompany clients on shopping trips and assist with grocery shopping.
  • Medication Administration: Assist clients with medication administration, as required.
  • Respite Care: Provide respite care services to clients, giving their primary carers a much-needed break.
  • Socialisation: Engage clients in social activities, promoting their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Other Support Tasks: Perform other support tasks as required, such as light housekeeping and meal preparation.
Essential Qualifications
  • Certificate III Individual Support (Aged Care/Home & Community): Aged care qualification or higher is highly desirable.
  • Australian Driver's Licence: A valid driver's licence is required for this role.
  • Motor Vehicle: A reliable motor vehicle with current registration and full comprehensive insurance is required for work purposes.
  • Mobile Phone: A smartphone is required for communication and documentation purposes.
  • Medication Skill Set: A medication skill set is highly desirable.
  • Experience: Experience in delivering care outcomes for older people is highly desirable.
