About the Role

We are seeking a Data Centre Manager to join our team and oversee 2 data centres in Western Sydney and North Ryde. The role entails managing the capacity, availability, and security of the data centre environment to ensure uninterrupted services for all clients.

Responsibilities:

Audit

  • Collaborate with Compliance team for audit preparation.
  • Ensure data centres are audit-ready and assist in the auditing process.
  • Review audit reports and address findings promptly.
  • Manage resolution of audit items and report status.

Capacity Management/National Processes

  • Provide comprehensive capacity management for data centre environment.
  • Monitor capacity and plan upgrades/expansions proactively.
  • Manage capacity via risk register and enforce standardized processes.

Maintenance

  • Maintain up-to-date asset listings.
  • Ensure assets have proper maintenance and warranties.
  • Develop monthly maintenance plans and oversee execution.

Security

  • Maintain data confidentiality and security.
  • Promote staff awareness and enforce security policies.
  • Directly manage security team and adhere to security protocols.

Contract Management

  • Support National DCM in supplier agreements management.
  • Review and track improvement plans.
  • Ensure regular review of all improvements.

Required Skills:

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in managing data centre environments.
  • Strong project and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Data Centre Subject Matter Expertise.
  • Experience in staff and vendor management.
