Alcohol and Drugs Clinician
Part time
- up to 32 hours per week
- until 20/06/24 and up to 24 hours until 31/08/2- leave backfill
  • Colac Area Health is a values based organisation providing a unique integrated health service comprising of over 500 employees, providing Acute Care, Aged Care, Community and Allied Health Services.
  • This role will offer counselling, treatment and support oriented clinical services to individuals and their families accessing our state funded Drug and Alcohol program.
    What's required?
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in social work, psychology and/or related field.
  • Experience in the delivery of relevant clinical work preferably within AOD sector.
  • Completion of and/or a willingness to work towards completion of AOD core competencies.
  • Understanding and experience in current evidence based practice framework and interventions that include trauma informed care, family inclusive practice and culturally safe practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with people and families experiencing problematic alcohol and other drug use in a respectful, compassionate, collaborative, and productive way.
  • Demonstrated understanding of community based interventions for reducing alcohol and drug related harm.
  • A demonstrated commitment to a positive team culture.
  • Current Drivers licence and Working with Children Check.
