In this role, you will oversee established wood supply agreements to ensure the procurement of quality timber products that meet production needs within cost targets. You will also manage relationships with current suppliers and expand the supplier network as required.

This position is ideal for someone with relevant qualifications or experience in procurement or sales in the forestry or manufacturing sector.

This full-time position is based in either our Colac or Tumut sites, supporting AKD's national operations.

The responsibilities of the Log Procurement Manager include:

  • Managing the procurement process to meet production demands
  • Evaluating tender processes
  • Negotiating new supply agreements
  • Ensuring efficient procurement processes

To be eligible for this role, you should:

  • Understand forestry Supply Chain processes
  • Prioritize Health & Safety
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills
  • Possess strong organizational and relationship-building abilities
  • Be capable of leading and motivating teams
  • While tertiary qualifications are beneficial, relevant experience or a willingness to learn is valued.

This position offers a broader scope than traditional procurement roles, making it suitable for professionals with experience in timber, forestry, or manufacturing.
