Laboratory Technician

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Part Time Laboratory Technician to join our operations team. Reporting into the Laboratory Manager, you will be responsible for collection and testing of samples, documentation and data entry including the use of SAP and log sheets.

**_Please note, a pre-employment medical including a drug & alcohol screen will be required as part of the recruitment process, following successful interview._**

**Part Time days for the role are listed below,**
- Tuesday
- Wednesday
- Thursday

Hours for this role will include mornings 7am - 3pm and afternoons 11am - 7pm, with participation in weekend rotation.

To be successful for the role you will need to complete 4 weeks of full-time 5 days a week training before transitioning to Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday work. You will also need to be flexible to cover any other weekday shifts.

**Pay**:

- Rates from $31 per hour

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Microbiological testing of samples
- Factory environmental sample testing
- Initiating appropriate corrective action
- Documentation & data entry, including the use of SAP, LIMS and log sheets
- Promoting Safety, Quality and Process within the business, including having a strict adherence to all OH&S and Food Safety guidelines.
- Correctly following Laboratory & Quality department policies & procedures

**You will have**:

- Qualification in Laboratory, Science (Food Science/Technology) or equivalent,
- A sound knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices
- Strong awareness of the principals & practices of Food Safety and OH&S.
- The ability to operate a range of Laboratory equipment
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to effectively relate and communicate to people at all levels of the business
