About North East Link

The Spark Consortium has been selected to deliver the Central Package of the North East Link Project - Victoria's biggest road project.

The Spark Consortium's Design and Construction Contractor - which comprises Webuild, CPB Contractors, GS Engineering and Construction and China Construction Oceania - will deliver the twin three-lane tunnels and key interchanges for the project.

The Central Package will be delivered as a Public-Private Partnership and provides three-lane twin tunnels that will close the missing link in Melbourne's freeway network from the M80 Ring Road to an upgraded Eastern Freeway, reducing journey times and diverting heavy vehicles away from local roads.

Up to 135,000 vehicles will use North East Link every day, reducing congestion in the north-east while maintaining local roads.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Payroll Advisor to join our team.

The Payroll Advisor will play a crucial role in managing payroll processes and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a major infrastructure project and be part of a collaborative and supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll accurately and efficiently for employees working on the North East Link project.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, including taxation, superannuation, and workplace regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of employee hours, leave entitlements, and other payrollrelated data.
  • Respond to payroll inquiries from employees and stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with HR and finance teams to resolve payroll discrepancies and issues.
  • Generate payroll reports and assist with financial forecasting and budgeting activities.
  • Stay updated on changes to payroll laws and regulations and implement necessary adjustments to payroll processes.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience working in a payroll advisory role, preferably within the construction or infrastructure sector.
  • Sound knowledge of payroll processes, taxation, superannuation, and relevant legislation.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with employees and stakeholders.
  • Tertiary qualification in accounting, finance, or a related field is desirable.

What we offer

  • Competitive salary package
  • Opportunities for professional development and career advancement
  • Supportive and collaborative team environment with regular Team and project Social Events.
  • Exposure to a highprofile infrastructure project

SPARK is committed to equal employment opportunity (EEO) and actively seeks to remove barriers people may face in gaining a successful position on the North East Link Central Package.

We value diversity, inclusion and equity through providing a working environment where all employees feel included, valued, and free to bring their different skills, experiences and perspectives.
