As the Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for:
Payroll Processing:- Managing fortnightly and monthly payroll for around 1,000 employees.
- Accurate data entry, processing payroll changes, and maintaining employee pay records.
- Preparing and submitting monthly and annual payroll tax, PAYG, Workcover, and superannuation payments.
- Overseeing End of Year processing and Single Touch Payroll submissions.
- Responding to employee payroll and benefits queries, managing employee exits, and ensuring employee records are accurate and up to date.
- Working with HR to manage terminations, redundancies, and other employee lifecycle events.
- Conducting regular data audits and ensuring payroll information is compliant with relevant statutory requirements.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum Year 12 (Secondary) education
- Experience managing full-cycle payroll processing
- Proficiency with large-scale payroll systems (e.g., MYOB Pay Global, i Chris, ADP)
Desired Skills:
- Diploma in Accounting or relevant qualification
- At least 2-3 years of payroll experience
- High proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities
