What you will be doing:

  • This exciting new role is responsible for providing high level confidential administrative support including diary management, meeting coordination, minutes, correspondence, management of records and other duties. Other duties will include communication of relevant information regarding administrative policies and procedures and the provision of support and supervision, orientation and training to mental health administrative staff as required. Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing and distributing agenda and minutes chaired by the Manager and act as minute secretary. Writing reports, documents and correspondence, including drafting complex correspondence, accurately and clearly.

Selection criteria to be addressed:

  • Demonstrated capacity to provide effective and professional administrative support, in confidence and with discretion within a busy and complex office environment.
  • Welldeveloped verbal and written communication skills, and demonstrated ability to problem solve and use professional judgement.
  • Proven experience in developing, implementing and evaluating quality improvement processes for administrative services and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Experience in preparing minutes and agendas with the ability to take minutes.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with changing priorities and demands, work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated strong organisational skills with ability to prioritise tasks whilst under sustained pressure and maintain accuracy and attention to detail.
