Company Overview
Our focus is flooring, drainage and hygiene and safety solutions for the Food, Beverage and Pharmaceutical Industry.

Purpose of the role

The role reports into the Project Coordinator and is responsible for overseeing the work conducted on client sites, leading subcontractors onsite and ensuring the quality delivery of work/projects within the right timeframe and within the budget allocated.

Key Accountabilities

  • Reviewing allocated ProjOs (jobs) to ensure all details are included
  • Ensure correct type & quantity of materials, consumables and/or equipment has been delivered to client/contractor site
  • Ensure unused materials and/or equipment from client/contractor site is returned to warehouse
  • Ensure subcontractor(s) have the correct number of staff on site during the work
  • Liaising with client onsite throughout the delivery of the job
  • Managing quality control and timeliness as the work proceeds both are crucial
  • Managing site safety, including supplying site specific SWMS (Safe Work Method Statements), along with relevant MSDS's (Material Safety Data Sheets) etc. Also arranging site inductions/ permits
  • Ensure all equipment & tools being used are in a good/safe working condition
  • Monitoring and reporting on job/project progress, risks & issues, and communication with client advise on number workers deployed/used and the time taken to complete the tasks/job allocated report on variations and further opportunities

Key Challenges

  • Managing/coordinating multiple deliveries to various sites to ensure materials arrive ontime for contractor(s) to work on jobs
  • Understanding the priorities/process to complete jobs (i

e depending on the job:
prep floors, mix raw materials, lay floor etc.)

  • Dealing with different subcontractors ensuring they work to correct timeframes and at a high quality level

Essential Requirements

  • Availability to work Saturday & Sunday most weeks with 12 days during the week (i.e. 34 day week parttime)
  • Experience leading projects
  • Experience leading & supervising people in work to be conducted particularly subcontractors
  • Experience preparing and executing project plans and working with project documentation including providing status reports and escalating risks/issues.
  • Experience working with construction equipment such as floor grinders, hand grinders, various power tools etc.

Skills/Qualifications

  • MS Office (MS Project or equivalent preferred)
  • White Card (preferred)
